Gotham Sound Atlanta Opens 6/25!

ATLANTA, GA — Gotham Sound Atlanta opens June 25th, 2014, bringing the customer service you've come to expect from us to Georgia, with complete sales, rentals, communications, & service departments!

The new space will be located at 500 Bishop St. NW, Suite F5, Atlanta, GA 30318! We're honored to be serving the Atlanta area sound community more directly and hope to see you there!

We'll be open special hours during opening week with casual drop-in evenings for you to meet the team and enjoy some light food and drink. The hours will be Wed, June 25th - Fri, June 27th from 9am to 7pm with Meet & Greet 4-7pm; Sat, June 28th, 10am to 5pm (Meet & Greet all day); and Sun, June 29th (Meet & Greet all day).

After mixing live music for a few years, Doug Hill segued into film production. He's always enjoyed the challenge of good mic placement from the end of a long pole. Doug has faced that challenge head-on for more than thirty feature films, TV movies, and TV shows in the Atlanta area over the past 25 years, often combatting it with his mastery of the fisher boom.

Ben Baldwin is one of our sales champs of the south. His background includes television production, corporate AV, live sound for concerts, and cocktail piano. Ben makes records for various bands on Atlanta label Blood Drunk Records as well his own band Amateur Night at Club Stupid which he describes as 'future funk and absurdist electronica'. He has a retro game collection including the Atari 2600 and aspires to write music for TV shows.


A graduate of The Art Institute of Atlanta, TJ Garland has made sound his career and life. His passion for music and the film industry found an outlet in every facet from sound utility and boom operator to ADR and post production on several independent projects and pilots, as well as feature films including Fast & Furious 7. His drive for knowledge keeps him seeking out the newest technology, equipment, and programs needed to stay ahead in the ever-growing film industry.

TJ is a US Marine veteran and a member of Local Union 479. He is writing, producing and even acting on projects of his own and part of an independent production company where he has been able to stretch his creativity and pay homage to his other passion, Batman. On the personal side, TJ has recently become a father and family man.


Marty Simpson is a jack-of-all-trades at Gotham Sound Atlanta. He comes from a production background and is eager to make a name for himself in Atlanta’s burgeoning production industry. Marty is a dedicated and highly-motivated employee and his growing knowledge of the gear makes him a valuable member of the Gotham family in the coming months. The dude loves cats. Like, really, he’s a total cat dude. He’s also big into comic books, sci-fi and horror flicks, and heavy metal. If he’s not at work, Marty will likely be found running, cycling, or burning some food in the kitchen.
