At Gotham Sound and Communications, we strive everyday to deliver fast and shipping services of your sale, rental, or repair. In order to make sure that your order receives the attention it deserves and ships to you when you need it, the following document is presented as our Shipping Policy. This details the responsibilities assumed by Gotham Sound in the process of shipping your order as well as the information we require from you, our valued customer, to make sure that your shipment goes off without a hitch. Gotham will ship internationally anywhere in the world, although some products' shipping areas are restricted by manufacturer agreements (see individual product pages for details.) If you're travelling in the US, we're happy to have items delivered to your hotel or have them available for pick-up at our New York or Georgia locations. Please be aware that international orders may incur additional taxes or duties.
Any sales, rental, or repair order received and acknowledged by 4:00 PM EST will ship out on the same day or on a scheduled date in the future, provided all items are in stock. After 4PM, please call and we will do everything possible to get it to you next day if necessary. Orders received after that time are not guaranteed to ship same day, but our shipping staff will make every effort to fulfill your order in the day it was received. Please note that the shipping time only counts business days and is counted form the time the order is confirmed, not the time the order is received.
A sales or rental order that ships from Gotham Sound will be accompanied by an e-mail to the customer once a tracking number is generated. This e-mail will include the tracking number, along with the Ship-To address used and the Shipping Method. In the case of sales, a detailed list of all the items shipped will also be provided. If you believe that an error has been made on your shipment, you can contact the shipping department directly at [email protected] and we will make every effort to correct the error before your package is picked up.
The safety of the merchandise we ship is our highest priority in the shipping department. We package our boxes with the utmost care to ensure that your package arrives to you unharmed. If you feel that your package was mistreated, please get in contact with us immediately to resolve the issue.
Most shipments from Gotham Sound ship with DIRECT SIGNATURE REQUIRED for delivery. This means that someone must be present at the delivery address at the time of delivery in order to sign for the package’s release. If no-one is present, the package will NOT be delivered and delivery will be re-attempted the next business day. After three failed delivery attempts, the package will be returned to Gotham Sound. The exception to this rule is in the case of a residential delivery, in which we will ship with an INDIRECT SIGNATURE REQUIREMENT. All orders less than $100 USD will ship from Gotham Sound with NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED. A customer may waive this requirement at their own risk. (Please see CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES below.)
We will provide complimentary ground shipping for all qualifying online orders totaling $100 or more and complimentary two day shipping for all qualifying online orders totaling $250 or over. Please note that the total must reach the minimum before tax and must ship to a non-PO box address in the continental US . For the purposes of 2-Day shipping, the" two days" only count business days and is counted from the time the order is confirmed, not the time the order is placed. Certain items, including carts, lithium batteries, large boom poles, and large speakers are not eligible for free shipping for reasons of weight, dimensions, or shipping laws..
For online orders, gothamsound.com automatically estimates shipping, but occasionally does calculate an inaccurate shipping price, especially on international orders. We will honor any shipping price that is too low and adjust shipping prices that are too high, but feel free to contact us if you have concerns about a shipping quote.
Due to government shipping restrictions, we are unable to ship lithium batteries by air. All lithium batteries will be shipped ground and may not be eligible for shipping promotions. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Before a package can ship, the customer must provide a verified address in the following format:

Any errors in the address will lead to shipping delays and possibly even delivery issues. It is also the customer’s responsibility to provide a date and time the goods are needed by in order to ensure your package arrives when you need it to. Finally, if using a shipping account other than Gotham Sound’s, that number must also be provided to the salesperson or rental associate at the time of confirming the sale/rental.
All packages valued at over $100 USD ship out from Gotham Sound with a signature required for delivery. If you would like this requirement waived, Gotham Sound requires a written statement to that fact to be e-mailed to your salesperson/rental associate before the package ships. If you decide to waive the signature requirement, you assume FULL RESPONSIBILITY if the package is lost after delivery.
All packages over $100 USD will ship with insurance to cover the full replacement cost of the goods. Should you not want Gotham Sound to insure your package, a written statement is required before the package ships. You assumes FULL RESPONSIBILITY for any damage to the package should the insurance be waived.
Gotham Sound uses UPS as its preferred courier, but can utilize the following couriers at your request:

Online orders cannot ship to PO boxes via any of the default shipping options. Please contact us if you need to ship to a PO box.
You may contact us to request a refund for a shipment that was damaged in transit or late, provided you did not waive shipping insurance or a signature requirement. Unfortunately, we cannot offer credits for late deliveries for packages that are delayed due to:
