SanDisk SD Card Thickness Variance Notice

JANUARY 2024 — We've seen an issue with some SanDisk SD cards recently, where they are too thick to be used in Sound Devices recorders and may become stuck in the card slot.

SanDisk has confirmed that these are official authorized cards and we are working with them to resolve the problem.

Until this is solved, we cannot recommend using the SanDisk SD cards for Sound Devices recorders and advise double-checking your existing media. If you want to be absolutely certain, the Sound Devices SD cards are recommended.
