W 5 D Hollow Foam Windscreen

The W 5 D is a larger version of the classic B 5 D windscreen with protection against stronger winds and minimizing impact on sound color.

It is made of foamn but is hollow inside to encloses an air volume around the microphone capsule like a windscreen basket. The foam of the W 5 D is mounted on a plastic carrier that sits firmly on the microphone in order to avoid touching the microphone. The microphone should pushed as far as possible into the W 5 D. 

Compatible with all axially addressed microphones from Schoeps. Compatible microphone bodies include the CCM, CMC 1, and CMC 6, but will not work with V-capsules (e.g. 4V, 41V, 8).
