The UWP-D22 bodypack wireless microphone package includes the UTX-M40 handheld microphone transmitter, URX-P40 receiver, and accessories.
The Sony UWP-D wireless series offers superb sound quality with digital processing, reliable RF transmission, true double tuner diversity reception and friendly features. Advanced digital audio processing technology provides high quality sound with improved transient response performance.
Seamless camcorder integration
An (optional) digital audio interface enables direct digital sound recording with many Sony professional camcorders and Alpha interchangeable lens cameras via the SMAD-P5 Multi Interface shoe adaptor (sold seperately), bypassing A/D and D/A conversion stages to further ensure excellent sound quality and display audio information such as RF level meter, audio mute status and transmitter low battery alert in the camera’s viewfinder. Via the SMAD-P5, audio signals are transmitted from receiver to camera without requiring a cable connection. The wireless receiver can also receive power from the camera, with synchronised power on/off between camera and receiver for more effective power management.
Fast, easy frequency setting
Sony’s uniquely user-friendly NFC SYNC feature allows quick, intuitive secure channel setting between transmitter and receiver.
Light, compact design
Reduced system size and weight enable superior mobility in a wide range of applications including news, documentaries, weddings, and remote production. The receiver’s compact size and light weight make it an ideal partner for small camcorders and DSLRs.
Starting in 2017, the 617-652 MHz and 663-698 MHz frequencies are being transitioned by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Users of wireless microphone devices that operate in any portion of those frequencies must cease operating on these frequencies no later than July 13, 2020. In addition, users of this device may be required to cease operations earlier than that date if their operations could cause harmful interference to a 600 MHz service licensee’s wireless operations on these frequencies. For more information, visit the FCC’s wireless microphone website at www.fcc.gov/wireless-microphones-guide or call the FCC at 1-888-CALL-FCC (TTY: 1-888-TELL-FCC).
Most users do not need a license to operate this wireless microphone system. Nevertheless, operating this microphone system without a license is subject to certain restrictions: the system may not cause harmful interference; it must operate at a low power level (not in excess of 50 milliwatts); and it has no protection from interference received from any other device.
