TCX-2N Time Code Transceiver

The Betso TCX-2N is an ultra compact, highly accurate time code transceiver and generator with continuous wireless jamming of time code with 0 ppm error via RF.

The Betso TCX-2N can receive or transmit signal with all existing SMPTE time code formats or can also be jammed and used as a standalone time code generator.

The OLED display shows status information of all connected devices to the network with the click of a button and it's powered by a single AA battery.

RF Transmitted Time Code
Wireless transmission of time code and status information ensures a simple on stage workflow control. Each device connected to the network will be continuously jammed from a transmitter and  each device can display  status information of all other devices in the network.

The operating range is up to 500m within the line of sight. The RF protocol incorporates a frequency hopping spread spectrum technology approach for robust functionality even in an environment with high RF noise.

When a unit set as receiver is out of RF range, it keeps generating synced time code.

Ultra Accurate TCXO
The embedded high precision, temperature-compensated crystal oscillator TCXO with frequency accuracy of 0.2 ppm makes a stable and accurate time code generator. Even in extreme weather conditions, the TCX-2N will keep time codes in sync. 

It can achieve even better than 0.2 ppm accuracy during jamming, when the TCXO is calibrated to exactly the same time base as the source of timecode

Status Monitoring
Any device connected to the Betso Network can show signal levels and battery levels of all other devices on the same network.  The unit set as transmitter will also warn when connected device batteries run low.

Small, Tough, and Mounts Anywhere
Thanks to precise CNC milling manufacturing technology, anodized aluminium alloy material and high-quality connectors and components, the TCX-2N is very durable but still compact and lightweight. It can be easily mounted on most camcorders or photo cameras. A Hot Show Holder (sold separately) is available for easy mounting.

The housing is almost completely sealed for great water resistance.

Powering
The TCX-2N is powered by one AA battery with a runtime of up to 50 hours of continuous use. This outstanding performance is achieved by lowering the display brightness and by switching the display to complete Standby Mode when inactivity is indicated by the blue LED.

The TCX-2N can also be powered via a USB input with a wide voltage range of 5–20 V DC and does not require a standard USB Power Delivery (PD) source.
