Description

Overview

The Sonosax SX-AD8+ is an eight mic/line in preamplifier with four AES ouputs designed for use with the Sonosax SX-R4+ recorder.. The eight inputs are on electronically balanced XLRF connectors. They feature 48V phantom power, phase reversal, and a low frequency cut with level controls on the front panel. The four AES3 transformer balanced outputs are connected via a 26-pin 3M MDR connector.

This SX-AD8+ bundle comes fitted with a Dante interface card for a high quality, portable multitrack system. The eight channels are available on a Dante network or in a point-to-point mode with a laptop equipped with an Ethernet port and a "Dante Virtual Soundcard".

Many configurations are possible with several SX-AD8+ and an Ethernet switch: up to 64 channels can be recorded at 48 kHz, 32-96 kHz and 8-192 kHz. The SX-AD8+ can be powered with PoE via the network cable, so it can be placed on stage as a remote box, for example. Optional audio is available over IP on RJ45 connector, such as AVB, Dante and Ravenna.
