PowerStar LiFE Power Distribution

The PSC PowerStar LiFE is built around a 500 watt switching power supply deisgn to provide clean, quiet power. The AC input is fully filtered for common mode, differential noise, harmonic content, and spikes and the current limiting function protects the power supply under extreme conditions.

Each DC output has its own dedicated output filter that contains both audio and RF frequency filters. Each output is also individually Poly-fuse protected and monitored via the front panel LEDs. There are a total of ten outputs: (2) eight amp outputs and (8) 3.5 amp outputs. The circuit boards are made with 4oz copper to lower internal power losses and extend battery life.

The PowerStar LiFE comes with a small remote control box, allowing the PowerStar to be mounted out of the way on your sound cart. This remote contains an additional set of On/Off controls, battery level meter and four USB charging ports. The PowerStar can be operated with or without the remote control box.

The custom made, high capacity aluminum heat sink extrusion uses convection cooling and provides more than 375 square inches (2419 square cm) of heat dissipation surface. It has been anodized gold for a long service life.

Multiple point rack rail mounting brackets enable the PowerStar to be mounted facing either direction in a rack.
