Nomad Touch

The Nomad Touch is touchscreen interface software designed to allow a sound mixer the versatility of a cart configuration with a Nomad 12 while using a bag setup. 

The graphic user interface allows for seamless control of all aspects of the Nomad 12, including  I/O routing, metering and monitoring. Metadata can be entered directly or imported over WiFi from MovieSlate.

A full screen slate function makes it easy for camera to grab a shot of the time code, especially when paired with the optional mount.

The Nomad Touch tablet (sold seperately) also features a MicroSD slot that can be used to record MP3s in real time, utilizing time code with scene and take metadata. MP3 recording can be slaved directly to the Nomad's record function or started and stopped independently. 

The Nomad Touch package includes an interface cable and software that can be installed on any tablet or computer that is running Windows 8.1.

Zaxcom recommends either the WinBook TW700 or WinBook TW800 as tablets with the ports and connectors necessary to take full advantage of Nomad Touch’s features.  If you’d like to choose a different tablet, below is a list of features to look for:

• 2 x USB ports, or a USB port and a charging port for simultaneous operation and charging
• SD or MicroSD slot for immediate transfer of MP3 audio files to a physical card to hand off
• Audio input jack for recording MP3 files (Required to input audio)
• Audio output Jack to use the Nomad Touch playback feature
• WiFi capable / Internet ready to upload MP3 files
