Hi-Q Battery SmartCup to Dual TA4F

The Hi-Q Battery SmartCup adapts a Hi-Q Smart battery or for power and battery telemetry with a Sound Devices 8-series recorder. Battery info, including voltage, current, and number of charge and recharge cycles, can be displayed in the screen of a Sound Devices 833, 888, or Scorpio.

The SmartCup has one cable (marked in red) to power the 833, 888, or Scorpio and another cable (not colored, labeled “BDS Power Only”) to power your Battery Distribution System, allowing all the equipment in your bag to be powered by a single Hi-Q battery through a BDS, while also monitoring the battery information.

Please not that though both of these cables use TA4F connectors. However, the data/power cable (marked in red) should not be plugged into the BDS, as doing so could harm the Hi-Q battery’s data circuit.

The SmartCup can be differentiated from a regular Hi-Q Cup by its red plate.
