The TX-Box is the heart of the innovativ Digitear intercom system. This 2U-sized base station features eight inputs and eight outputs along with a deep routing matrix for full customization. The system is perfect for discrete cueing, channel by channel, as well as a host of other possibilities.
The TX-Box accepts up to eight discrete audio signals and transmits them via Digitear AccessPoint antennas (sold separately) to up to 14 separate Beltpack receivers (also sold separately). Each Beltpack is assigned to one channel, selectable via the Beltpack. The TX-Box has a built-in connector for one AccessPoint. An unlimited number of AccessPoints can be used with a PoE Switcher.
On the front of the TX-Box is a 3.5mm jack and TALK button. This allows the user to monitor an individual channel's input and output signals by plugging in a pair of standard headphones and pressing the TALK button. When using a headset with a built-in microphone, you can send out out of that channel's output.
The outputs of the TX-Box open up a lot of interesting routing possibilities. Any channel's input audio and talkback (from a connected beltpack or from the TX-Box itself) is combined and sent through the channel's output. From there, you can send the audio to another audio application (like director IFB), or route the audio internally to another channel, in case you want one talent to be able to hear the main signal plus the talkback of another user (like a stage director).
The TX-Box keeps you fully informed as to the status of any connected devices. The LCD screen offers an at-a-glance overview of connected Beltpacks and InEar monitors, such as battery life, channel selection, signal strength, etc. You can also plug the TX-Box into a PC and access all the TX-Box's features via software.
