The DARK8MAI is a powerful Dante/AES67 network audio interface in a robust stage box style. It has eight low noise mic/line inputs which are remotely controlled by a Windows 10 app. The outputs of the microphone amplifiers are transmitted on a fully redundant Dante/ AES67 network interface.
The free software for Windows 10 provides full remote control and level monitoring for the DARK8MAI. Each of the eight XLR3 audio inputs can be individually set for mic/line level, 48v phantom power, and gain.
When using the Dante protocol, the DARK8MAI can serve as a fully redundant network interface. An audio network link is provided across two of the network interfaces. There are four network interfaces on the DARK8MAI: 2x Neutrik Ethercon (RJ45) connectors and 2x SFP slots to fit your own preferred fiber interfaces.
The DARK8MAI can be powered from two independent PoE sources to provide a redundant power option, so just one cable can carry power and audio data to/ from the unit. The unit can also be powered with a 12V power supply.
Excellent low noise and distortion microphone amplifiers chipsets by Profusion provide crystal clear sound unaltered by unwanted characteristics and wide range analog to digital converter’s (ADC) are used to make sure the digital audio on your network is as good as it possibly can be. The filter settings of the ADC can even be changed via the software.
