Cosi CMC 6 Windshield Kit

The Cosi CMC 6 Windshield Kit  is designed for the Schoeps CMC 6 series and similarly-sized small shotgun mics and includes a fur windshield, long mic cage, 20mm mic holder, and XLR3 cable.

The Cosi takes the innovations of the Piano windshield and shrinks them down to fit shorter microphones.  The microphone is completely isolated inside the Cosi from shock and the windshield itself sits on top of two flexible suspensions, meaning that aggressive boom motions or handling won't result in noise. The microphone is surrounded by air on all sides for maximum acoustic transparency.

The Cosi also features easy microphone mount swapping. Instead of having to completely disassemble your windshield to extract your mic, the mount inside the Cosi is removable by turning it a quarter-turn to the left and then pulling it out through the rear of the windshield. This allows for quick mic changes that can be done in a matter of seconds.

The Cosi works great on boom poles, but can also be mounted on top of a DSLR camera with a hot shoe adapter (sold separately).

The windshield system is completely modular, allowing the user to mix and match parts to fit their microphone and their situation.
