Cantar X3 Recorder Full Kit with Cantaress and Hydra

The Cantar X3 is a versatile and robust multitrack recorder, featuring twelve analog XLR inputs, eight low noise mic preamps with very high quality transformers, four analog line inputs, and multiple AES digital inputs, including 2 AES42 pairs (mode 2), 8 AES/EBU, and a 32x32 Dante Audinate network card, along with 48V phantom power, limiters and filters.

Delivery includes Dante option card, Cantaress mixing console, Hydra RF Hub Standard Package, and assorted cases and cables.

The Cantaress is a mixing surface with an extra-wide foldable display aligned to the VU meters of the 12 assignable channel strips. It provides an instant view of the setup of analog Input gain, solo functionalities, mix gain, and equalization of each channel. In addition to the main display, the two screens on the right of the faders show custom options, setup or shortcuts.

The Hydra is designed to perform as the central hubfor RF receivers and transmitters. It offers a full integration of wireless receivers into the CantarX3 and CantarMini mixer-recorders.

The X3 chassis is made of machined avionic aluminium for a waterproof and dustproof housing. The ten track mixer plate has magnetic linear assignable faders, addressable to any input or output. All inputs and mixdown can be routed to any of the tracks and all tracks and inputs can be routed to eight analog auxiliary outputs and/or digital outputs. The internal 256 GB SSD drive (expandable SSD size) handles recording and playback, with simultaneous recording to SD cards or USB external drive.

The ultra bright large swiveling display panel is visibility optimised for shoulder or cart work. Two large rotary control selectors allow easy recording and operations in any situation and a new and improved interface menu is accessible through the buttons and the jog wheel.

The CantarX3 comes standard with WiFi connectability and can be used with a USB keyboard. It features a XLR4 DC 10-30 volts power input and two identical on-board quick release smart batteries, insuring seamless switchover during recording.
