Gotham Sound Service Department Fee Schedule

Each repair item checked into our service department will receive a full evaluation to determine its working condition and to see if the description of the problem provided can be confirmed. The customer will first receive an estimate that will need approval before any evaluations can begin.   If a certain repair item passes the full evaluation and no problems or issues are identified, it is subject to an evaluation/bench fee plus return shipping. 

Evaluation/Bench Fee:

  • Tier 1 - Free Evaluations: All Lavaliers and Boom Poles
  • Tier 2 - $35: Up to (5) cables; ie Audio and Coax, Timecode, Power, Snake, Breakaway cables.  Timecode Boxes, per wireless unit or pair 1x Transmitter / 1x Receiver, IFB’s, Shotgun Mics, Slates, Headphones 
  • Tier 3 - $75:  Smaller Mixer/Recorder setups ie MixPre’s
  • Tier 4 - $125: Larger Mixer/Recorder/Wireless setups ie 8-Series, Zaxcom, Nexus, Scorpio, Axient

Hourly Service Labor Charge: $150 per hour

Flat-Rate Lav Repair Charge:

  • $69.95: TA5F, TA4F, ⅛” TRS Locking rewire or replacement, full test, pass QC
  • $79.95: 3p-Locking/Push-Pull Lemo rewire or replacement, full test, pass QC
  • $99.95: MicroDot, 3p-Waterproof, WM Waterproof replacement, full test, pass QC

Flat-Rate Boom Repair Charge:

  • $95: Rewire/Replace XLRF(RA) connector, mic test, extension test, pass QC
  • $195: Replace Internal cable kit, mic test, extension test, pass QC

Same-Day Rush Repair Fee (added to standard charge):

  • $35: Lavaliers 
  • $50: Boom Poles
  • $75: Wireless and Shotgun Mics
  • $100: Mixers/Recorders

Firmware Update Fee: 

  • $25 per individual unit of wireless
  • $35: (1) transmitter and (1) receiver wireless pair
  • $45: 2-channel receiver and (2) transmitters
  • $65: 4-channel receiver and *4( transmitters; mixer/recorders
